Saint Véran is the highest community in Europe (2040 m). The surrounding environment is one of harmony and relaxation.
The Flora and Fauna, the Crosses and Fountains, the streets lined with houses called Fustes and decorated with sundials, the country walks, hikes and the Soum Museum are for your pleasure and exploration.
   
 

FUSTES houses constructed out of slates and larch shingle

They are the tallest buildings, built on stone
foundations sheltering the main vault.

They are constructed out of larch trunks
(around 200 trees) and covered in either
wood or slates.




The Soum  Museum

One of the most beautiful traditional houses of Saint Véran dating from 1641 and exhibiting the life and tradition of Saint Véran.
